Lein, Stefanie. "Types of Eating Disorders." Types
of Eating Disorders. N.p., 2013. Web. 08 Nov. 2013.
I realized that not only do I need the genetic part of
eating disorders but the information on eating disorders as well.
This article is a credible source for my research because
the author is a doctor of pharmacy out of the University of Arizona. The author’s
credentials include her bachelor’s degree in physiology, and the fact that she
struggled with an eating disorder; Binge Eating. This article was published in
2013. The author’s main goal in this article is to inform the reader about the
types of eating disorders that can affect the people around them. The
publishing source for this article targets an audience that has close
connections with eating disorders. The audience would be interested because of
the real knowledge that this author brings to the table and would agree with
the information that she provides. The author incorporates testimonial and
anecdotal evidence in her article. The author builds credibility with her
knowledge of each disorder. The limited aspect of this article comes from the
fact that it is all information with no arguing points. I feel as though I need
these facts in my essay because it will help readers gain a better
understanding of each eating disorder so they can make the decision on whether
or not it could relate to genetics. I agree with her information because she
has provided a list of eating disorders and described them correctly without misusing
any information or names.
